So I gained a little over a pound last week and have been not wanting to log it, thinking, I'll lose it this week. Well, turns out I was wrong! ARG! This is particularly frustrating to me because I was into the last "decade" of my weight loss, and now I am not. I am not 100% sure why I have gained this and then not lost it, but I am thinking this: I have been exercising more, burning more calories so therefore EATING more. I am going to stop eating all my exercise calories and see how that goes. Any other suggestions?

I have chosen to do the same thing after I gained back after a loss. I am strictly eating my base 1270 calories each day, and exercising 500 - 900 calories day. It seems to be helping because I haven't gained since then.

make sure you are drinking lots of water bc that helps flush out the toxins and fat that you burn off. I also agree you may want to decrease your extra "free" calories you consume -- wish you luck oh and weight gain happens to the best of us...just get back on track and take it one day at a time. =)

Same problem, but I have gained 5lbs. I have been running and cycling like crazy and eating so much food. I am going to only eat half of my exercise calories instead of all of them like I have been. Good news for you though that you noticed and stopped at the first pound. I would just make sure you are eating enough and eating when you are hungry.

    I feel your pain.

Good Luck and I hope you see a change. This week is the start of me not eating all my exercise caloires so I am crossing my fingers it works.

Depending on your exercises it could also be muscle weight gain :) I go to curves and we go by inches and body percent fat at weigh in time and you can actually lose a lot by that but not see it on the scale

Don't be sad.. and don't let this number variance crush your spirit. You've done a phenomenal job so far - that is your ultimate measure of success. Our bodies are so complex... there's a hundred thousand things going on at once, and sometimes.. those things create a water flux here and there. Don't let it get to you... you'll catch up and get back on track in no time. The only time you should worry is if the trend continues the wrong way - that's when you stop.. and re-evaluate your plans.

Congrats on your weight loss up to now!!! Keep up the great work ~
