Save Hatteras!!!

Okay I know that everybody is all over the world who particiapates on MFP. But for any one that takes their summer vacations to Hatteras, NC is in for a disappointment. They are seriously contending on closing the beaches to vehicles. Every year my family and friends look forward to our week or even just a weekend in Hatteras for beachin fun and surfing. But its all coming to and end if they pass this law on April 4th. Please go to savehatteras.com and place your opinion on the matter if you and your family take your vacations here. They say that we are hurting nature but I just dont see how that is possible. The sound side is where all the wild life is and you cannot drive on it anyways. Not to mention Pea Island is blocked off already for those poeple who don't want to deal with the traffic. I cant even think about my summer vacation spot being ruined for the rest of my life. To everyone please help us save our vacation spot!!!!

i go there all the time with my family.

but i dont understand they are just not allowing vehicles on the beach anymore?

If they pass the law on April 4th. But even if they do think about the parts of the beach that would be so hard to get to. Basically there is only limited parking alond the dunes that run the road. So that would pretty much cut beach traffic by more than half, mathmatically speaking. So I think in the long run they are going to hurt themselves b/c all the tourists who come down there for that reason will find somewhere else to go. Basically I just dont see how this would ever benifit their economy much less not hurt it; but thats what they are trying to do:sad:
