So, this thing has me set at 26g of sugar a day. I am having a terrible time achieving this! It seems like I go over EVERYDAY... and most of the time, I double it :/ Is this a very accurate amount? I am 24/f/5'4''/135lbs. I have been using MFP for about a year, and it really has helped. I didn't discover how much sugar I was actually eating until recently. Apparently, I have a huge sweet tooth haha. I still lost weight though? Should I stop eating so much of it, or am I ok?

If you're losing weight, I wouldn't change anything. why would you fix a problem that isn't there?

    I don't track my sugar.

ETA: Disclaimer, this obviously is assuming you have no medical conditions that would require you to limit your sugars.

Unless you have a medical reason to track sugar, don't bother. Worry about total cals, proteins, fats and carbs. Worry about the rest only if you need to.

As far as I know, I don't have any medical conditions. Thanks for the advice :)

Hi. I want to add, that my sugar is always high too. It comes from all of the fruit I eat. I had an older co-worker lecture me about how much sugar was in the bunch of grapes I was snacking on. So I asked my doctor about it. My doctor told me not to worry about my sugar intake, unless he tells me to. Been eating lots of fruit for years, and I do get tested twice a year(high cholesterol). Sugar is not a problem for me! So as others have said, if there is no medical problem, don't worry about it.
  • If they are natural sugars I wouldn't worry.

If you are high on refined sugars then I'd consider changing your diet to reduce those.
