My date is taking me out tonight. Do you guys have any suggestions for a "healthy" dish at Chili's? Its Monday so I don't have much time to do my own research about the nutritional values while at work today and I won't have any time afterwards either.
THANKS!!!
THANKS!!!

I order the garlic lime shrimp salad...I think that's what it's called. no cheese, dressing on the side, extra lime, no tortilla strips. I don't really use much of the dressing anyway, it is sooooo good!!!0

Chili's has a "guiltless" menu. It should be pretty easy to find something to eat from it.0

just dont get the Awesome Blossom:
Chili's Awesome Blossom
2,710 calories
203 g fat
194 g carbs
6,360 mg sodium
Equivalent in fat content to 67 slices of bacon!!! :noway:
They have a guiltless grill there. Chicken, Salmon, or a Black Bean Burger. The Black bean burger is the worst of the three, with 650 calories and 12 g fat. Not bad!
Have fun on your date!:flowerforyou:0 -
The margarita chicken with rice and beans is a good choice....also go to chilis website (www.chilis.com) they have a list of all their meals and the calorie and fat etc that they each have.
I am not one to order salads when I go to restaurants...that I can make myself lol....when I go out I want to try stuff I cant make myself
I found the margarita chicken to be a low calorie meal and very good...beans for me were a bit salty because I dont cook with salt period, for people who eat salt, they should be fine
Have fun0 -
Stay away from the apps and salads!
Here is an option:
The Guiltless Grill Classic Sirloin with Steamed Veggies and Black Beans: 240 Cals, 8 Fat, 9 Carbs, 35 Prot, 5 Fib
For an app you could order a CUP of Broccoli Cheese: 120 Cal, 8 Fat, 8 Carbs, 5 Prot, 1 Fib OR
a CUP of Chicken & Green Chile: 100 Cal, 3 Fat, 11 Carbs, 7 Prot, 1 Fib
Hope this was helpful.0 -
You should be able to request no salt, if you are concerned for your sodium intake.0

This is a list of the calories per item (as served) on their Guiltless Grill Menu.
Guiltless Black Bean Burger 610
Guiltless Buffalo Chicken Sandwich 390
Guiltless Carne Asada Steak 370
Guiltless Cedar Plank Tilapia 200
Guiltless Chicken Platter 370
Guiltless Grilled Chicken Sandwich 360
Guiltless Grilled Salmon 400
Guiltless Honey-Mustard Glazed Salmon 420
I have had their buffalo chicken sandwich and it was a little plain.. I really enjoyed the salmon dishes and my boyfriend loved the black bean burger. I hope this helps a little! You can always look at the other nutrition facts later.

I love Chili's, i didn't realize they had a guiltless menu, the next time i get to go out to eat, i am definitely gonna have to try that.
Thanks for the great ideas0 -
I've found (and this is also dependant upon your calorie limit) that for as much food and as satisfying as it is, the plain fajita isn't that bad. Leave off the sour cream and cheese, easy on the guac. I mean they bring you all the stuff and you can go as light or as heavy as you want with it building your own dinner basically. Its pretty lean beef (even better if you go with grilled chicken) lots of veggies. Small tortillias. Its really not as bad as you might think.0

At any rate you can pull up chili's on the food data base, most of the menu is on there. You can decide what you wanna get away with.0

thanks everyone!!! Looks like I have lots of great looking food to choose from!0
