Exercise & water weight gain

Can someone tell me what is typically within the normal range when it comes to water retention after starting a new workout? (I started a boxing type workout). I suspect I am holding onto about 6 lbs of water that I don't normally have, but I am super sore, like hard to roll over in bed sore. I woke up with puffy face, hands and feet which was a little concerning. I have been chugging lemon water all day and it's getting better, but just wondering what is normal, and if anyone else has gone through this after starting up a new regimine.
