Earning Extra Calories through Exercise?

Hey,

I'm fairly new to this site and have been trying to be faithful about logging in my exercise and food intake. My question is, if my Calorie goal is 2200 calories and then I log my exercise as burning 900 calories, it says I've "earned 900 extra calories" because of my exercise.

How do you folks take this info. Do you still eat within your original calorie allowance or are you more flexibile with your calorie intake on the days that you exercise more.

Just curious to get your feedback on this. Do you find the calories burned a distraction or a help and does it change your food intake?

Almost everyone wonders this. Many say eat back all your allowed calories. Some people just count it as a bigger deficit. Only consdieration would be how you feel. Eat em if you need them or your body is craving it, or take the deficit.

    Best of luck.

    Welcome aboard!
I find it nice when I have a good workout day to have earned calories. I think it helps me to have wiggle room with whatever food I decide to eat that day. Or heck I may even eat a little more. I just don't eat them ALL back. I do try to stick to my original goal as much as possible.
