Food processor

Has anyone made a good non-lumpy smoothie in a food processor before? I haven't tried it, but I want to get some smoothie ingredients, and all I have is a food processor. Will it work or should I save my money? (I won't be using ice, just frozen fruit, fresh fruit, and a tiny bit of milk or yogurt).

While it likely won't be able to get blender smooth it SHOULD be able to get you in the ballpark. A food processor is really designed to chop where as a blender creates a vortex in the center of the pitcher of liquid which allows for a current inside the machine which brings food down and through the blade.
I don't think you'll be all that happy with the results but give it a try, what's the worst that could happen?0
