Ok, so I've been working out all week, mostly doing an hour swim and half an hour jog with some strength training. I've been eating around 1600 calories daily, and lost about 1.5 pounds this week alone. But today, I felt this extreme hunger and don't know why? I haven't felt this way at all~~~~
Did anyone else have this extreme extreme hunger? I mean, I ate lunch but got waaaaaay too hungry right after and even after another snack AND dinner, I'm still hungry?!?!?! Is it because my body's forming muscles?? What's going on?

Probably just adjusting to the new activity if you've just started. Although from time to time I find I just have hungry days. As long as I'm sure it's really hunger, and not thirst, or boredom or whatever, I eat. Won't hurt to be over cals sometimes. Listen to your body and if you're hungry, eat!
  • Does your stomach PHYSICALLY feel hungry.. or is it the mind? I drink an entire bottle of water just to see if I'm really hungry. If I still am, after that, I eat something light but chew VERY SLOWLY (especially when I've had my calories for the day.)

Don't know if this helps at all, but...I find low calorie/fat/diet foods that I used to eat when I first started tracking my cals seem to make me hungrier. I never really felt full. I now eat full fat versions of everything (except fizzy drinks) and it really seems to help me feel full much longer. Oh I also eat quite high protein as well. It seems higher fats and protein help keep me feeling full for longer.

Thanks. I actually tried higher protein, and stopped feeling that hunger pain. So I add protein like eggs for breakfast for chicken breast with my lunch etc. It works. Thank you!!
