Before joining MFP I was always reading weight watchers and how you could eat all the fruit and veggies and it would be 0 pts.
Of course with MFP everything has calories sugars basically good and bad. I was eating baby carrots the other day and 3oz was
35 calories and I was like wow what if I really wanted to fill up on these. My question is how are individuals going about their fruits and veggies. I've logged in everything as I supposed too, but if I wanted to indulge in fruits and veggies. Should'nt I be able too and not feel bad about it because the calories will eventually creep up. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Try not to make comparisons between counting calories and Weight Watchers. Weight Watchers work out your propoints already taking into account the calories an average person uses on fruit and vegetables every day but on MFP it all has to be counted. Dont worry about it though, calories from fruits and vegetables are extremely little compared to any other food and they are amazingly healthy. You will surely be able to fill your boots with veg every day if you wanted to without going over your calorie goal so enjoy them X

All calories count. Log them. But a big part of my calories does come from fruit and veggie, filled in with lean meat, nuts, diary, whole grain, and limited treats.

I don't log sugar, not because I am in denial, but because I like fruit, fruit is good for me and if I took notice of that sugar log, I wouldn't be able to eat it.

I log all fruit and have to adapt my daily eating accordingly.

Fruit is good for you, a couple of pieces day will help with digestion and general well being. However loading up with a dozen pieces will be no better than eating a couple of 100g bars of chocolate as you'll end up consuming towards 1000 calories!

All calories count, log 'em all.

    BUT

You will be astounded at what 100 calories of vegetables looks like - that would be huge, especially if you steer away from the root veg like carrots and beetroot, and look at water high veg like spinach, leeks, celery, fennel, mushrooms, aubergine (eggplant), courgette (zuchini). And potatoes and sweet potatoes are both pretty high in cals - make sure you measure your portions of these.

Fruit is high in sugar, undeniably. Again, look at alternatives - I rarely eat bananas or mangoes, and I was horrified at the sugar content of a persimmon (sharon fruit). But blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, canteloupe, grapefruit, are all pretty easy to include in your diet without too much of a sugar-price.

I know WW changes their methods fairly often but when I did it you certainly couldn't eat all the fruit you wanted and I very much doubt they've put in place a diet that would allow that. It's very easy to run up a fairly large number of calories with fruit.

    You should log everything.
