It's no longer difficult.....what should I do?

So, I have been working out since October 22. I have lost 45lbs and need to lose 17 more to hit my first goal! Everything I do has become easy and boring but I do switch it up and have added things to my workout. I have increased my cardio and added more weights but I have been around the same weight for awhile and....... I'm at a loss! Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Maybe try a two week diet break to revive your metabolism, deload on your weights.
Then get back to it and keep going.

Different types of cardio to "confuse" your muscles? And do you do interval training when you do cardio?

Try doing some HIIT. There's a few on the BeFit Channel on YouTube in their Abs and Butt programs that are really intense if you give them your all. You could also create your own with a mix of squats, burpees, mountain climbers, jumping jacks, high knees, etc.

Perhaps lower your reps and up your weights for strength training. Or, as was suggested, take a week or two and do a deload, low weights high reps, then go back to lifting heavier.

If things feel easy or boring, ramp up the intensity. Try a new video, if you walk or run, find some good, hilly terrain.

Don't count on exercise for your weight loss. Your diet will play a far bigger role than exercise will. Not sure if you're using a HRM to get your calorie burn but if you aren't your body becomes much more efficient at cardio with time and will burn less so if you're using the same numbers and eating those back it could be a problem. MFP and machines tend to estimate high (I think they assume everyone is very unfit) and can throw your numbers off.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I appreciate and will check them out and see what works. My daily diet is well maintained....usually, so I don't have concerns in that area, I just need to change up my workouts. I do use a HRM and I have noticed the drop in calories burned since my workouts have become easier to do, that's why I need to figure out different ways to burn more calories!
