Exercise after c-sections

I used to work out hard core and know what needs to be done to get into amazing shape. My c-section scars hurt so bad when I do any abdominal exercises or stretches. It makes me afraid to do anything strenuous. I am 8 months post my last op. should I just push through the pain or remain cautious?

Have you told your doctor about the pain? Did they tell you what sort of exercises you can start doing safely?

You should check with your doctor. My sister also had a lot of pain after her c-section and wasnt able to exercise for almost a year and a half. But when I had my c- sections I was exercising 4 months later and nothing hurt.

I've just started exercising now my baby is 13 years old:laugh: (Not really, I did do excercise before, just not recently:wink: ) I just want to get rid of the stupid saggy bit.

I did and they said I am fine I should be able to any type of exercise. I was thinking that I may just need to break up some scar tissue? I try to stretch it out every few weeks and it does seem to get less painful as the months go by.

My first I could not move for 7 months. My bladder, uterus and abdominal walk had all adhered to one another. I could not even think about exercise. After the second I haven't had any issues. Just the scar. It feels so tight and I always have a mental image of it bursting open if I strain it.
