HELP! Don't Think I Can Get Over 1000 Calories In Today

I had oral surgery this morning (I had 4 impacted wisdom removed) and I didn't eat anything until about 3pm. And I don't think I'm gonna get over 1000 calories for today. Normally, I eat 1600-2000 calories, depending.
Will I royally mess up my body and/or metabolism?
Plus my mouth hurts so I'm not even thinking about food. And I've been napping alot today. :ohwell:

One day isn't gonna undo all of your hard work. Just rest up. Think of some soft stuff for you to eat tomorrow though. I bet you'll be starving by then.0

Don't worry about today if your not hungry. Tommorow, you could stick to soft stuff like pudding, smoothies, soups, mashed potatoes, ect. Anything that doens't require chewing, since it can undo any healing your mouth is trying to do.0

Buy a Bolthouse Farms 32 oz. purely chocolate drink.....its got an insane amount of protein in the whole thing, plus tons of nutrients and its like 640 calories for the whole thing....and it tastes GREAT!0

Your Doomed! ... all your hard work was for nothing lol just kidding you will be fine just eat when you feel up to it and make sure not to over do it tomorrow when your feeling better cause you will be hungry after not getting to eat.0

I second the Bolthouse Farms smoothie. I love their C-Boost when I feel the gambu coming on. You can also pick up a pack of Ensure. You can still get your nutrients in without chewing0

I just had 3 impacted teeth taken out in December. I ate lots of soup, mashed potatos, yogurt, and the like. V8 was also really helpful. It's got about 120 for 8 oz for the fusion. The first day was pretty hard to eat though, so just take it easy and do what you can.0

Thanks guy. Sorry about posting about something so silly, hehe. I will try that Bolthouse Farms smoothie, thank you for the suggestion! Plus I stocked up on ingredients to make my own smoothies (I usually make them every other day). But I was just worried about that whole "starvation mode" thing. And hubby's been taking care of me. Made me some mashed potatoes. Hopefully the pain and swelling won't be too rough over the next few days.0
