Our New Elliptical Trainer

So we got a new Elliptical Trainer this week. Yesterday was our first full day of having the new torture device.

Yesterday I was able to do a 30 minute program with several short breaks for a drink, or to rest. I find that it hurts the knee I have had two surgeries on, and that is surprising to me and a little disheartening.

Anyway, I did that program yesterday, and my goal is to be able to do it each day with less breaks.

The problem? I put in that same 30 minute program today, and I suffered through the first 10 minutes with breaks every two minutes. No energy, zip zero.

I ate an ounce of almonds and a special K pastry crisp, so had both carbs and protein in my system that should have helped. But no, I simply was not able to do it today.

My son has been sick all week, and I am exhibiting some symptoms now, so I hope this is just because I am getting sick.

For those of you that do the Elliptical, how long did it take before you could do a 30 minute program with no breaks? How much time a day do you spend on the trainer?
