I upped from 1200 cals/day to 1800 cals/day (though I tend to sit around 1650-1700/day). I lost 2 lbs right away. I'm 5'2" and have lost 32 lbs with about 60 lbs to go.

wow, that's great! i've been doing 1200/day, and was very successful...at first...lol. not so much, now. and from what i'm reading, i should up my calories some. i keep coming up with different numbers from all the different calculators, but i'm going to try 1400 for a while, and see how that goes.

I'm 5'0 and started off with 1200 calories, and then upped them to 1470. I've been losing consistently. I'm waiting to lose another 10-15lbs to readjust.

that's good to hear. makes it easier to take that big step, upping your calories, when you know it has worked for someone else. :-)

I upped from 1200 recently due to feeling knackered and grumpy all the time at that level! Now on 1300-1400 most days for the past three weeks. Haven't seen a weight loss in a fortnight, and actually gained a pound last week so feeling really down about it all. Interested to hear what other people say.

BTW, I'm looking to drop another 30-40lbs
