Having trouble entering a homemade recipe

I am trying to add a homemade recipe, which i've done before without issues. The problem this time is that oneof my ingredients is homemade salsa. Can I add one of my recipes as an ingredient in another?
To clarify, I want to add homemade salsa as an ingredient to homemade chili.

Hmmm... I've never tried that. I wonder if you have to make just a food with the calorie/nutrition information from your salsa recipe to add it to the chili?0

Just use the exact same ingredients you used in the salsa in the chili recipe.0

If you go to your recipes - double click the salsa and it will let you make changes to it. Add the new ingredients to make the chili, change the name and save it.0

I would (and probably have) just break down the ingredients and make a new recipe.0

Ah! That makes sense. Thank you everyone.0
