Help finding the right heat rate for me

A was looking at this today and a can't work out what my heart rate should be when working out

    Honestly, I don't worry too much about my heart rate. I think it's really what you are comfortable with. The higher your heart rate, the harder it may be to sustain that level of exercise for a lengthy period of time. When I am doing cardio my heart is between 155-175 for the most part.

    When am it the gym on the treadmill it some times goes upto 180 then when am at home on my bike normmlly hits about 130 max

    My HRM recorded my highest at 187 and I'm 40... it didn't explode so I figure I'm good! Workout varies from 155-175ish normally.

    People are born with different max heart rates. You have to do a stress test to really determine it.
    You can measure your own resting rate and take the max from a chart for your age as an average.
