Today I reached one of my mini-goals for weight.

And,,,

I spent my usual 35 mins on the treadmill, and 20 consecutive minutes was at a 3mph pace
no hanging on
my heart rate stayed in my safe range

WOOHOO!

    What a wonderful NSV!

    Last time I got on my treadmill, within minutes my HRM soared to the max of my "in zone" and I was so breathless that I had to really slow down.

    I got on the treadmill thinking I was going to do Week 1 Day 1 of C25k. It sounded easy enough and so many other overweight gals were doing it. What Was I Thinking???

    If you don't mind, can you give me a little rundown of how you worked up to 3.0 for a straight 20 minutes? How long did it take you? Do you get on every day? Did you start out at 3.0 for a shorter time or a slower speed?

    By the way, if you are looking for a bit of accountability, please feel free to post on a group I made just for those of us who aren't the typical gym rats.

    It's mostly just me posting there, but I could use a little push and encouragement.
