If you are hungry and tired, get in bed and eat. Finish eating and fall asleep.

HAHA I'll try this next time.

You have never done this? I have done it a few times.

Well I have been really busy today and forgot my snacks when I ran out of the house so I haven't eaten enough. I just got home a few minutes ago and I'm hungry. It's 10Pm and I will probably go to bed at 11 or 12. I have only had 813 calories today.

Can I eat or should I wait till tomorrow? Is eating so close to bed bad?
I found myself in a similar situation last night - busy day/evening and I didn't feed myself like normal, so found myself needing calories at the end of the night. It was past midnight when I realized it, a half-hour before bedtime. I ate greek yogurt, cocoa almonds and 2 tablespoons of peanut butter - almost 500 calories that quick. Then I went to bed.

Meal/nutrient timing is completely irrelevant to weight loss. Calories in < Calories out is all that matters. Your metabolism and digestive system work 24 hours a day - the food doesn't "just lay there".
