changing short term goals?

I still have the same long term goal, but I am realizing now that I am well into my weight loss journey that my short term goals are a bit ambition. When I first start lossing the weight was coming of super easily so I assumed that I would lose 2lbs a week every week. Obviously that hasn't happened.
Should I change my short term goals so just work hard and get there whenever I can?

This site suggests one pound per week (which can equal 52 lbs per year). I say try the # of calories they want you to eat, add in a little exercise, if possible, drinks loads of water and fruit juices, and see what happens. Sometimes the body rebels if you try to lose too much weight per week. It gets into a "starvation" mode and stops losing at all. Try this site's plan. It might be the best one for you. Best of success!0

I have changed my short term goals a couple of times for the same reason, I usually just add a month to the goal and if I don't reach it by then I leave it and wait till I do.0
