Been Sick.. Had to miss workouts :(

I've been sick for the good part of the week and feel pretty off track. I went to the gym on Monday and Tuesday and felt pretty weak and dizzy after, which is not my normal after workout feel. I decided to skip the gym/workouts until my health is back on track and I get over this bad sinus cold and fever.

I just worry that in a few days when I feel well enough to get back in my routine at the gym, I'm going to have to "start all over again" for lack of a better term. My routine focused on adding time/laps of running and cardio and I feel like I'll have to work all the way back up to where I was! Feeling a bit discouraged and hoping that I don't have to backpedal too much in a few days...

I know everyone gets sick and has to focus on overall health as a priority, but it's definitely a downer when you have goals and want to continue with your regular routines! I've been drinking lots of liquids, water, water with splashes of cranberry juice for extra vitamin C, black tea (for my sore throat), and some all natural OJ. I hope to get well soon!

How does everyone else feel about getting sick and missing workouts/getting off track?

    Missing workouts can really suck, and yes, you'll probably have to play catch-up a bit. But I bet you'll be surprised just how fast you get back to where you were! One week away from the gym is pretty minor, in the grand scheme of things.
