The quiet whirr of my lap-top fan as I sit on the can reading mfp community posts. The distant, wall-muffled happy-bark of a small dog. The slow, almost sub-sonic rumble of a truck motor at very long range. The trace hiss of tires on the freeway 2 miles away. The sounds of my own keystrokes.
