I have recently been to France for 5 days I was worried that I would eats lots of nice pastries etc and put on the weight I had lost. I really surprised myself by refusing stuff that I was offered. I obviously ate one or two nice things but found that in the restaurants I could only manage small portions this surprised everyone as usually I can eat as much as the men. I returned hime and had not gained any weight neither had I lost any. I must have re-educated myself without knowing.

OP, this is AWESOME! I just love hearing stories like this. Congratulations on both your willpower and the fact that you got to go to France. Lucky you!
I'm also one that could eat a lot in one sitting. I could eat an entire large pizza. I'm really surprised that I didn't weigh more than I did! With the help of MFP, I've learned portion control & now I can only eat 2 slices of pizza and I'm full. The willpower to reject the unhealthy foods is getting stronger by the day. I still enjoy everything that I used to love, but moderation is the key. If I didn't let myself indulge on occasion, I would never stick with it.0 -
now that is a true success...even better than losing weight because you lived a great experience and showed skinny girl decision making.0
