Adding exercise

I started my personal weight loss challenge almost 2 months ago. I have lost 12 pounds so far with just changing my diet, but now I've been backsliding for the last week. I've started to add exercise (mainly treadmill). I have the 30 day Shred workout but have never committed to it. Anyone out there have good results from this?
