HRM vs. machine?

If I enter in my age/weight on the machines at the gym will the calories burned be accurate? I am trying to save up for a HRM. I know they are pretty accurate. I also know that you get what you pay for! I usually try and estimate higher for food calories and lower for calories burned when logging everything.

You'll get a guide from using the machines but the HRMs are much more accurate and totally worth the investment in my opinion. I havent looked back since I got my Polar f11 at Christmas.0
