Just starting and have a question regarding mobile app

Hi All,
I am just beginning my use of MFP. I have been in some very poor eating habits for quite a while and am finally ready to get started in making a change. I've logged in on the internet (obviously!) but am having trouble trying to set up the android app. I have downloaded it and tried trying in with my user name and password from the internet and it says "invalid". I tried setting up an account with my info, but it says that user name is taken. Any advice will be much appreciated! TIA
