I am kinds new to counting calories and myfitness pal. I have done Weight Watchers in the past, but want to start counting calories now. I want to start with a 1500 calorie diet, should I go less? I am also planning on doing 60 min of cardio at least 5 days a week. My main issue I have is wanting to see what a good balanced 1500 or so diet looks like.
A little on me, I started at about 200 lbs 5' 10" and dropped to 160 about 2 years ago and gained back about 15 of that. I would like to make it to 155 this time at least.

Thank you!

What's your calorie intake now? Having huge drops (or increases) in calorie intake can be a real shock to the system. Generally I would reduce (or increase) calories by 100-200 a day for one week and then repeat.

But just remember a calorie of one food isn't the same as a calorie of another. For example, a can of diet coke doesn't contain the same goodness as a cup or two of spinach, although the calories might be similar, so please don't just think calories, think quality of food as well.
