Well having a takeaway Cantonese sweet & sour chicken tonight with boiled rice and unsure what calorific value to put in .. I will only eat about 1/3 of the rice and will try to leave a some sauce...... any ideas, it does not come in the large containers just the normal size.. I know I will end up over my calories today but i will work harder tomorrow on my workout HONEST!!! :blushing:

The MFP Database should provide a reasonable approximation. As to overdoing it today, that's why we invented tomorrow. By the way, nice photography.0

When in doubt, peel off the coating and just eat the chicken. or maybe just peel off parts of it.0

As it is cantonses style...very little batter/coating so cannot peel off.... I have picked the chicken out , the onions a little sauce and about 150 g of boiled rice0 -
So the real stuff, instead of the anglo version with 6mm worth of batter. Good for you. Order some stir fry vegetable as well. Fill yourself up with 50% vege and 50% SS chicken. bring the rest home and reheat it the next day. just my 2 cents.0

Search MFP for the foods your eating and choose an option that everything averages about the same and then LOOK AT THE PORTION SIZES! Take out the measuring cups or you can try eyeballing it. Basically just go off of the average calories in most of those items by that quantity.0 -

just generic it or chose the closest thats in the database, and chose what color rice it was (white is not healthy, brown is), you can't guess absolutely everything and counting every single calorie would drive you nuts you'd be spending all day counting and not eating or existing, least thats my take.
Just work off some extra the next session if you are worried or drop more calories on the next meal.0 -
