Slimming my extremely large and muscular thighs!?

I have always been heavy and recently started losing weight over the past few years. I have lost over 100 pounds and still have a few more to go. I am much leaner now but mainly muscular and toned which I don't mind and I know that when I fully dedicate myself to eating clean and exercising weight does come off, I have just been having trouble adjusting to university and such, anyways my legs are my problem. they are HUGE! I know its partly a genetic thing and many women have this problem but my thighs, and legs, mainly my quadriceps and calves are ginormous and I can't even fit into any shorts or skirts, let alone feel comfortable wearing them! I'm sick of being so self conscious and hiding my legs, I want to show them off this summer! I used to play hockey as well so that gained a lot of muscle growing up. I am unsure if I should stop training my legs either with or without weights, I usually do a leg training day, along with a shoulders/bicep/tricep day and a chest/back day. I also have been upping my cardio by doing 3-5 spinning classes a week. Please help! anyone with this problem who has solved it or anyone with knowledge in this in general, I Would love to start now to be able to finally wear shorts and love my legs bu the summer (and I mean it, my quads are suuuupppper large and disproportionate to my body). I hate running, or anything boring like that, the only cardio I can seem to manage to stick to and enjoy is spinning classes, so I hope this will be beneficial. and I will definitely folow a clean eating plan.

I can totally relate! My thighs are not a problem but my calves are simply humongous. I've spent a lot of time on the internet trying to find an answer and got nowhere. Some people say that there is absolutely nothing you can do about it, others give contradictory advice. i remember reading one girl's comment who said that her calves got smaller after she's started doing calf raises (over a hundred at a time if I am remembering correctly). I haven't given it a try yet, but I might try combining calf raises with an intensive stretching routine.0

I know! So much mixed advice and just can't find to seem what works. I thought stretching would help to, I've started stretching more but not dedicated enough so maybe I will start. Good luck with your calf raises, I am confused if training the muscle or not training it will solve the problem, kind of makes sense both ways. Thanks for the input!0

My calves are huge. Always have been and always will be most likely. Jeans and boots can be really tough to get to fit.0

Pretty sure a lot of that boils down to genetics; not sure there's much you can do about it.0

I know its genetics, but most of it is muscle due to training them....so there must be a way to get rid of some of it, and make them a little noticeably slimmer, cannot be permanent!0
