My food log has me over goal for all protein. Is that benificial to my weight loss goals or should I try to stick to the recommended food log goals?

MFP's protein goal is set to the RDA which is not enough for active individuals. Either ignore it, or better yet, change your goal to a reasonable level. The "common wisdom" is 1 gram per pound of LEAN body mass but that's probably overstating your needs by bit. That said, the extra protein is not going to harm an otherwise healthy individual so there's no need to stress getting too much.0
