Exercising with sore muscles

Hey all
I pushed myself more than usual in my last workout and my muscles are quite sore (though they don't hurt to the touch). Is it ok to keep working out? If it's ok to keep working out, then how do I tell when I should be resting?

I'm not an expert but when I'm sore after a workout, I workout the next day too. I just don't push myself as hard.0

it's good to work through soreness. Don't overdo it, but working through the soreness will help.. all that's wrong right now is that you have gas in your muscles that is from them working.0

I'm assuming it's DOMS and not some sort of injury or damage. If so, just work through it unless it's really bad for some reason.0
