I reached my goal (yippie), so I decided to set a new one (five more pounds). When I did, MFP reduced my daily calorie intake by ten. Is this normal? Anytime I set a new goal, wll I be allowed less and less to eat?

That's what I have found! I have had to change my goals 4 times now that I have lost 40 pounds! I look at it as a new challenge on my way to a better me!0

Yes. You weigh less so your body requires less food to operate.0

don't sweat it, the good news is if you recently went from being on the couch to doing some exercise to lose that weight you've increased your lean muscle mass a tiny bit...which needs more calories now and can probably offset the 10 calories (MFP doesn't use bodyfat % or Lean muscle mass in its calculations).
