Neither up nor down.

Not sure what I'm really doing wrong. Been on MFP for a few weeks now, tried keeping in my calorie goals, and still haven't enes lost a ponnd. Not even half a pound. Cut out candy, chips, chocolate, juice, ice cream, fries, burgers, cut back the red meat,

Before I started this, I would eat chocolate and ice cream just about every day, and didn't gain weight either. Apple juice everyday fries on the weekends, two small bags of chips a day during the week. No exercise at all ether.

So what is frustrating me is why am I trying to loose weight and exercise for nothing, when what I was doing before wasn't making me gain weight. Every week I weigh myself and just get deflated not to see the numbers move. The only fluctuation his month was gaining two pounds during my period and loosing it after.

Just feeling really down right now.

You may want to have your labs drawn by your doctor. If you are tracking what you are eating on here and not losing, then there may be a bigger issue. Having your doc analyze your labs with you will be a good start. You may have a thyroid issue that you don't know about.

Stick with it though. Yes there are some mean people on here but the majority of us on here have a lot of the same goals. Hang in there and good luck. See your doc, you will thank yourself for it later.

What's your current weight? How much are you planning to lose? How many calories are you eating/exercising off every day?

I have only lost three pounds since I started getting serious about working out six weeks ago but I've lost two inches around my waist, an inch around my hips, an inch around each thigh, and half an inch around each arm. My body composition is changing, which is good! I want a lower fat percentage. I'm not terribly discouraged about not losing much weight yet and I think it will pick up once I have more muscle.

I hope I encouraged you to stick with it!

I would be happy with just loosing 20 lbs.i don't want to be skinny' but just a little smaller so I have more shopping options lol and a little more confidence.

I've also been told by the doctor that I need to loose weight to help with my heartburn. I've been suffering with it for more than two years now. I've had an endoscopy done and that was clear, m y gallbladder checked, and that was a little enflamed, antacids are my life as the doc can't seem to find out what is wrong. And I hate relying on meds. I've been tracking my foods to find triggers which is how I found MFP.

I've had a lot of blood work done lately, I had dengue fever late last year. Could barely eat anything for two weeks, and I actually gained weight, that really pissed me off. Usually the one perk of getting sick is a little weight loss lol.
