Add me if you like. I'm gluten and dairy free and most of the time find it relatively easy to find options without eating processed dairy and gluten alternatives.

Hello OP Here !! not looked at this for a while so just read through everything .

I am Gluten Free, Dairy Free through Health Reasons not choice...I also cannot eat certain nuts Peanuts make me swell up , also spicey foods make me swell too i even have to have baby milk toothpaste as otherwise my lips swell up and my tongue but hey ho i have learnt many alternatives .... I am still adjusting but since doing this I have lost the following ..

    1) A bulge in my stomach everytime i ate anything !! (Hidden gluten etc)
    2) I used to have headaches everyday and migraines weekly I havent had either for 9 weeks
    3) Used to have acne which has 95%cleared since not having any gluten or dairy
    4) My stomach used to bloat from a 37 inch waist to 48 inch after eating products unawre of the gluten in them.
    5) a more positive attitute to food
    6) Loss of interest in any unhealthy foods such as Macdonalds etc
    7) More of a glow to me overall
    8) I no longer have stomach pains etc
9)I sleep straight away all night before i would lay and not fall asleep for 3 hours then have broken sleep
    10) I have more energy than I have ever had !
11)And since going completely daiy free in the last week as i found this the hardest so weaned myself off i have lost 4 pounds in that week most likely of excess bloat that i was carrying around for years .
    12) MOST IMPORTANTLY - My friends and family have noticed a complete difference in my atittude in general , i used to not want to do anything NOW i cant get enough of ebing out and about and socialising and exercising!!!

I would also like to say I dont tend to buy processed gluten products I try to stick to Raw and Whole foods. I LOVE my fruit and Veggies Luckily!!

To the poster who asked if i eat meat and eggs... Well Meat Yes !! I get my iron from this although red meat makes my stomach bad if i have too much but i tolerate this ..Eggs Make me really swollen if i eat too many but I LOVE HARD BOILED EGGS !! so i suffer usually have them at night so i can sleep it off but rarely have egg! ..

And to the poster who mentioned the almonds ... This is a nut i cannot have ..( When i read this i sound like i may aswel just eat lettuce !!

To the poster who mentioned calcium and needing it yes correct everyone does just people like me cannot have it , if i have milk then I become really really sick and suffer for weeks even from a drop!

Hopefully more people can share their stories !!

Thanks for all the posts :) Im going to look up all suggestions etc !! x X

Thank You for all the info ! Im going to have a look at those websites now for some ideas for this weeks meals ... and I agree I dont worry about the healthy fats !

    Thanks !

go to mark'sdailyapple.com, subscribe to the emails, and then at the end (7 days) you'll get access to a couple free e-cookbooks that are absolutely awesome. but those other links posted above are great too.

I'm GF and dairy free currently, and I'm actually really loving it. I've been dairy free forever, but the gluten/grains are new for me.
