Cheesy Brussels Sprout Bites! (Pic)
Options
My obsession with brussels sprouts is just getting better and better.
Grab some of them, cut the end off, slice in half, place on a baking sheet (sprayed with PAM) flat side down. I was out of olive oil so I just sprayed the sprouts with PAM (next time I will toss them in olive oil), sprinkled with salt and pepper and a little garlic powder and let them roast for a good 10 minutes or until they turn brown. Once they turned a little brown, I flipped them over so that the flat side is up, sliced a string cheese stick into enough slices for each sprout and placed a piece on each one. I threw them back in the oven until they were a little melty (string cheese doesn't really melt for some reason so you can use some other kind of cheese if you want).
They were a really good snack and all for 133 calories. I think I had about 14 halves. The calories mostly came from the cheese stick!

I love brussels sprouts I could eat them like popcorn just lightly boiled or steamed...0 -
Love roasted brussel sprouts! So yummy and your pics look great. Nice addition with the cheese.
I also like to coat mine with a "dressing" before roasting. Add some spicey brown mustard to the olive oil (or dijon if you don't like the bite of spicey brown) Love it!0 -
Sounds and looks wonderful - I will have to try this the next time I get some sprouts in house!0
