SO, I know that in the long term, weights are better for you than cardio, and that will help tone up etc.
However, I have an appointment with the fertility clinic (eeeekkkk) in a couple of months, and my BMI is currently 26, am 5 7, 166 lbs. I really want to be at 25 for my appointment. I am keeping to my diet, exercising, but need to up my game a little. Am I better off focussing on the cardio for the time being, burning more calories, thereby losing more weight in the short term, or should I just keep what I am doing (20min cardio 40 min weights) and just hope for the best?

need to add that weight loss is a very slow process for me normally, and as a result of not seeing much progress, I ummmm, aren't very good at keeping to it. However, if I know that doing more cardio will help, then I will do it in the hope....
please someone help...0 -
Cardio will help your heath and BMI more. Along with weight training I would try to include cardio around 3 to 4 times a week. Don't think of cardio as hopping on a treadmill either. There are plenty of things that can make cardio extremely fun. i.e. basketball, raquetball, hiking, swimming, biking. Good luck. Message for any further questions.0

Have always done some cardio coz don't like leaving the gym with out a red sweaty face.... Don't really have time for sports and stuff! With the gym I can go, do what I have to do and leave whereas other things are done on others people's times.... Gona try up the cardio, not eat back all cals and see what life brings0
