Suggested daily cals

I've been using the recommended 1500 cals but wondered if I should try 1200 cals a day. My weight loss is very slow and I went down to 1200 9 years ago when trying to lose weight and it seemed to work for me. I'm 5 foot 2 and 168lbs. My BMR is 1464 anc my BMI is 30.9.
Has anyone else reduced cals by this much and how did you find it?

I just think you need to give your body time and remember that this (hopefully) is for the longrun! I used a tdee calculator based on your information and with light exercise (1-3 days a week) your calories would be 2137 and then minus 20% from that it's still 1709. So 1500-1700 sounds healthy. Keep at it! How long have you been doing this?0

I wouldnt drop all the way to 1200. but maybe you could drop to 1400 and see if that helps? if that doesnt work you could try increase to 1700....0
