I find it difficult to consume my goal for calories?

I'm really overweight and my BMR is around 2300 calories. For about a month I ate 1200 calories and after a while I noticed I wasn't losing as much. Recently I've upped my calories to around 1800 but I find it difficult to do this in a healthy way. I feel like I shouldn't be eating when I'm not hungry, but I also don't want to go too far below my BMR. What should I do?

Try eating nuts, cheese, and avacados to help bring your calories up.0

Maybe you need to settle for around 1500 calories and see how you get on with that?0

Your food diary isn't open, but in addition to jcperkns' suggestion, replace any low-fat foods (assuming you're using any) with their full-fat versions. Fat isn't the bugaboo it's been made out to be.0

Eat the full fat non diet versions of foods.
Try to plan your day better. If you just eat each meal as low calorie as possible you will get to the end of the day, find yourself under calories, and not be able to do anything about it.
If you plan your day, you can see how short you are, and adjust accordingly.
Easy ways to increase calories without increasing volume if you are full
- cook with olive oil/butter
- add some grated cheese to your salad
- drink some milk/fruit juice
- snack on some nuts/ dried fruits0
