Without surgery?
I don't have it yet since I've just started losing weight, but I'm fairly sure that I'm going to For one thing, I had a cesarean. For another, I gained almost 90 pounds in a 9 month period (being pregnant).
So I was wondering is it impossible to get rid of loose skin without some type of surgery? My sister has been doing P90x/Insanity for 2 years and the rest of her is tiny but she still has that little flabby gut that won't go away. She has to wear a girdle type thing so you can't see it in tight fitting shirts.
It's just depressing thinking about.

I have read that you can use skin brushing to help stimulate circulation to the areas with looser skin. Might be worth researching.0

As people get older they lose elastin which helps the skin to spring back. Younger people have the best chance of it going back quicker. Also the time it is stretched can have a factor. The shorter, the better.
Keep hydrated and skin moisturiser can help
Take enough vitamins and minerals
It takes a lot of patience and time. Mine is shrinking slowly.0 -
If there's "flab" in it, it's fat.0

I've wondered the same thing - as I lose weight, what happens to my skin? If I lose weight slowly, will skin slowly shrink as well?0

lol...i have seen loose and lose mispelled so many times I cannot even tell if that's the right spelling, just a sad observation of my newly found confusion about that.
ANYWAY....I got rid of mine thru cosmetic surgery but I have been curious about something i heard on here called "derma roller" maybe you'd want to search and read threads about that?0 -
I had/have a bunch of loose skin, I have had 5 babies, pretty much back to back (8,7,5,3,1) and I lost my weight pretty fast.. the first 60lbs came off in 3/4 months. So, my po' lower belly was a mess.
A friend of mine suggested getting a loofa, and scrubbing the crap out of the skin in the shower. When you get out you can use a skin firming lotion and it really does help over time. I was very skeptical, but it did help.0 -
Thanks guys. I'll have to let my sister know this stuff too. Like she is probably 5'7" and 125 pounds but she had a cesarean also and yeah that pouch on here just won't go away no matter what she does! So I'm definitely scared this will happen to me.0
