Yes, before you freak out and tell me I'm not losing weight the healthy way, please know this:
This is NOT for weight loss. I've been having major bowel problems recently. I've been taking Miralax for almost 2 months now, and it's helped a little. But as soon as I stop taking it, I can't go to the bathroom. My fiber is up, my water is up... nothing seems to help but the Miralax.
Would anyone happen to know of some colon cleansers or any thing of the sort that could maybe help me?

I just finished on that I dont think is bad was "Renew life's Cleanse Smart." With this I didnt change how I was eating or anything just drank more water. And it was a start of one pill in the morning and one at night for the first 3 days and then its two twice a day till they are gone like a 30 day thing. I wasnt having any problems I just did it because I was supporting a friend who had just had a collonic done and they were doing the cleanse. But ya I liked it because it wasnt a fast or to change my diet in some odd way it was just to take the herb to help things. I have also herd that adding sprouts to your everyday diet will help with that kind of issues. But someone else might have a better idea.0

If I could make a suggestion, I took a peek at your food diary and what might be contributing to the problem is you consume a lot of what I'll call "dry foods". These are probably your favorite foods and affordable but if you could add some foods that contain more water it might help you. I find if I eat alot of bread, etc I have the same problem regardless of the water intake. But if I eat more vegetables/fruit that helps in that regard. Hope this helps!!0

yes, I also took a peek at your diary, so from I can tell, you're not eating very much fiber, If it were me, I would at least double, and possibly go higher than double on my fiber intake. You'd be surprised at how fast your own body will fix itself if you give it the resources. Fiber intake is vital to correct digestive and colon function. I would try that before I go to the extremes of colon cleanses.0

Try Senna Tea. But just once or twice. Then you need to make sure you are getting your fiber from veggies and fruits.
The senna will flush you out over night and give you a clean slate to work with. Senna BTW is the ingredient in most laxitives and stool softeners. The tea is just in its whole form. It works better, imo. No cramping, unless you are really, really impacted or sensitive. And it usually only take one time. Its not some New Age fancy detox that is over hyped and over priced. Its just hebal tea, not great tasting, but better than Mirilax. As in you don't need to depend on it daily and its cheaper and recognizable in nature.
You need to change your diet before durning and after and stick with it. Fruits and veggies are your best source of fiber on the planet. And veggies are low-cal, low-fat. So go crazy. You might even find you don't need the tea after you incorporate more veggie, unless your really impacted.
Hope that helps.0 -
It's not typically a problem for me, but I had a recent bout of issues. I finally had to try drinking epsom salt dissolved in water. It worked, but it was DISGUSTING tasting. I would definitely recommend upping your intake of vegetables first. Really try to hit the 25 grams of fiber a day as an absolute minimum.
Also, I find that a cup of coffee in the morning tends to get me... "moving" (just be careful because too much coffee can dehydrating, so I wouldn't recommend drinking more than 1-2 cups/day).0
