Bodymedia Link vs Core?

Hey all, I'm looking to get one of the Bodymedia armbands but not sure which is better.. I know the Link has bluetooth and you can see updates on your phone and the other you see when you plug it in and synch it with your computer?? Is that right?? Anyone have either one?? Any thoughts/recommendation?? Thanks...

The Core is smaller. A new Core2 is coming out. Not sure when though. In the UK, we can only get the older Advantage. You'll love the BMF.

I highly reccomend the Link if you want to keep an eye on your stats. I have the Link. It's synced up to my Android with bluetooth. And I can even upload stats from teh app. ONly time I have to take it off is to charge it up, which I do at night before bed.

The core from what I understand you can get a display to go with it to see your stats for an extra charge, otherwise you only see it when you upload. Which you can't sync that one to an app at all only the computer.

I have the Link. I love that I can sync it to my phone anytime. It's on sale at Costco right now $119.99 with 12 months free

I have the Link and I'm super happy with it. I can check how many calories I've burned on my phone throughout the day. It'll also let you know how much of your activity is moderate or vigorous if you have particular goals you want to meet. The app allows you to upload your data to your online Activity Manager. I only plug mine into the computer to recharge it while I shower each day. Both the Core and the Link work nicely with MFP.

I'm happy with the Link, but I think I'd be fine with the Core, too. In order to sync with the Core you'd need to pop it off for a minute to upload your data with a USB cable. For me, I could easily do that, but I can see where it would be impractical for some. The Core is smaller and less noticable.

Before you go the Link route, make sure you have a compatible phone. Otherwise you'll be frustrated.

The Costco deal is a very good one. Save your receipt and packaging, because you will have to email customer support to get your 12 free months and they'll need proof of purchase. I emailed a copy of my package slip and a picture of the box and I was credited right away.

    Good luck!
