TDEE!

Do you always have to use your tdee is that the best way to see how many calories your supposed to get int to lose weight?
Tell me what tdee do you use and which one do you think is the best one, Or do you just guess on how many calories your supposed to have!

    Well you need to know roughly what you are taking in to maintain to then be able to eat more or less of this amount to either gain or lose weight.

    Your BMR is based on a few simple calculations using weight height, age and if you're m or f. Your TDEE is simply a multiplier of your BMR in reality. The only thing is picking your personal activity level, there isn't a best one.

    You can quite easily check if your TDEE is roughly accurate as if you are eating it you shouldn't be gaining or losing.

    As for your thread q, my TDEE is 1881 based on my stats and little or no exercise. If I do exercise I log it instead and eat the same calories in addition to compensate. I know if I eat around 1900 the gain/loss is only very minimal and that's just down to logging accuracy.
