    Hi,

My protein comes from eggs (whole and just whites), cottage cheese, tuna, salmon, mackrel, lean beef and chicken. I also have protein shakes (body supreme). 1 scoop is 19 g of protein.

Hope this gives you a few ideas.

    :)

Skim Milk, string cheese, tuna, chicken, these usually put me over my protein requirement for the day :)

If you need something on the fly...Southbeach diet cereal bars are high protien, low carb and really very good.

I started using a protein shake - it's not bad tasting at all and a whopping 30g of protein per scoop. (Iso Sensation 93, Chocolate Fudge)
  • Besides the obvious meat and dairy....

    Nuts
    Legumes
    Beans
    Tofu
    Tempeh
    Seitan
    Seeds
    Other nut butters
    Soy
TVP and other processed rotiens, sparingly.

I was always curious about whether beans were a carb or protein, this is the information I got:

Depends on the bean: Kidney beans are high on protein, baked beans do have protein but also have alot of fat, and green beans are high on protein but not as high as kidney beans. The beans that are highest in protein are soy beans followed by fava beans and kidney beans. Processing soy into tofu increases the nutrition that humans can absorb.
