Shake Diets in Australia

Hello!

So, personally I'm not a fan of shake diets, I thought about going on one once, years before I found MFP and calorie counting, and it was HORRID. Tasted foul, couldn't finish one, let alone the two boxes I'd bought. However, my husband has decided that he wants to go on a shake diet to kick start his weight loss. He's not interested in calorie counting and can't commit to healthy eating. I've suggested he see his doctor before starting on a dramatic diet change.

I'm not going to push him to be healthy my way, so I would like your advice - for the people who have done a shake diet before and not put the weight back on, what worked? Which one did you do? Was it 3 shakes a day, or just one or two? Hubs is thinking about doing a shake for breakfast and lunch.

Thanks heaps in advance for your thoughtful replies, and please don't be hating on the shake diet. As I said, not my choice which is why I'm not going to be doing it :)
