Help!!! Desperate and need inspiration!!!!

Hey everyone,
I've been on MFP and dedicated since December 24, 2012. I wanted to change my life and my body; for the most part I have been proud of the progress I've made and lost about 31 pounds. However, my birthday was a two weeks ago and since then I have been struggling to stay on track. I just need some inspiration and some from supportive kick in the *kitten* so I can get it together!! I've done the weight loss before, and when I fall off the wagon my problem is getting back on. So far I've gained like 2-3 pounds and I'm really scared that if I don't get it together I'm going to ruin all the hard work I've done. Please please help!!!! Any inspiration or progress pictures or anything that's helped you get on track would be really appreciated.

Honestly? Your ticker, which shows a 31lb loss is a great place to start! That's a lot of weight, well done!

The way I look at it, if I try and deny myself stuff and be really strict, I am setting myself up to fail. I try to make small, sustainable changes to my diet in order to make it more healthy, but I don't beat myself up for veering off course a little bit once in a while. Baby steps, and you can and will do it.

Loads of inspirational stories in the 'success' part of the forum if you want some ideas (but no from me, I hate having photos taken, plus I'm only partway there).

Listen, you can always take a weight loss break. Maintain your 31 pound loss and when you feel like you really truly want to lose more..then start back.

I read a great article a long while back, that most people only have about six months worth of really great will power, and taking a break from dieting is a good strategy to avoid burn out.

Taking a break doesn't mean you regain what you lost.. just maintain.:flowerforyou:

Just get up today and say today is a new day and a new start...you can't change yesterday the damage is done...but you cna begin today as if it were your first day....as someone mentioned read your profile and kindle that fire that started you on your way to the 31 lb loss you already have...looking at the before and after pics on here really gives me motivation and will power to know it is possible to do and reading the stories you see that everyone has their own days of failure but the key is just start back over the next day...don't let one day turn into two and three and four...stop it at the one day...stay positive and you can do it!
