Yoga Pants (Ladies Please Help)

So Ladies I really want to buy my girl a few pairs of yoga pants. Apparently that's what all the cool kids are wearing these days to the gym?!?.

I went out to the mall this weekend and was so confused by all the different brands and qualities and benefits to this type of gym "equipment". It's so hard to tell by just looking at the rack whether or not they will look good on her or not. Then it hit me, tell me the brand and how you would rate the quality of them. Then I can make an "informed purchase" when I head back out to the mall.

Thanks for helping me out in this matter... I assure you this is not meant in any way to be creepy.

if only there was a global system of computer networks that billions of users contributed multiple things - from information on physics, astronomy and other sciences, to the arts and music, and personal interests: photos of friends, children, pets... and yes, also including pictures of women in yoga pants... and if there was only a way that you could filter out any information except women wearing yoga pants...like a way to search specifically for yoga pants images.

that would be awesome. someone should make that happen.

Wow what a luck girl....yoga pants so thoughtful! I am more amazed that you had time to go to the mall considering how much we chatted on MFP this weekend ;-P

Here you go- it's not a picture of me, but if you have to troll MFP to look at a decent piece, perhaps this is similar to your girl friend's build? Cuz, you know, there's no way she's as hot as me, so posting a pic of how hot I look in my yoga pants really won't help you be anything more than depressed that she's not going to look that good... (for the record, I'm being sarcastic- serves you right!)

I guess I wasn't thinking about how all the ladies on MFP were so very conservative and would never think of adding these types of photos to a message board. My apologies...

I guess I will have to hope and pray I pick the right pair!

LOL @ the responses to this thread. I buy yoga pants at target. They have a lot to choose from and being on the leggy side, (5'8) They're the only cheaper brand that isn't high waters on me.

I love the performance capris. I got a pair that are amazing from target, but they were $36. I found some online at wal-mart for $11. Best athletic pants I own. I find full length pants get in my way. These make me feel like a Ninja!

I go to target, they have them separated into sections depending on what you are looking for.. The most popular is the fitted, boot cut style... They provide great support and good range of movement.. They alo have them in short or long depending on her height. I just get the fitted boot cut medium regular , and they always fit well

I have both Old Navy and Gap and they're relatively cheap and have lasted me quite a while. I wear them most days for work (at home) as well and I think they're good quality. I like working out in mine too. :)

If you are going for a top notch pair that will last forever, Lululemon is the way to go. They even hem for free! (Which is great since I am a shorty) However, if you want to go a little cheaper, I find great pairs at Nordstrom's Rack and Target. They are a little more like sweats than spandex but that makes them great weekend attire.

my favorite pair is one i randomly found at Burlington for $8. They're called American Dream. silly name, but they're great. they have a fold-over top and no outer side seams. very comfy:-)

Aerie and Victorias Secret have the best yoga pants. If your lovely lady is on the bigger side, don't go to Victorias Secret. They don't go past a LG in their yoga pants. I'm 190 pounds, 5'6", and cannot fit into their large, for reference.

Aerie does have a wider range of sizes, the pants are durable, and they make MY bum look good. So, if your lady has a nice bum, they'll make her bum look nice too! :D
