I have a motivational comment that keeps me going and I thought I would share it with all of you. I would love to hear what your favorite motivational motto, or quote that works for you.

Mine is from a friend that recently lost a large amount of weight and is now very physically fit. I asked her what had been her deciding factor to finally get the weight off and to improve her body. She stated “I was tired of committing slow suicide with my bad habits.” That comment struck home with me, for I had never looked at it that way. I was committing slow suicide with my eating and lack of exercise. I started the next day on this journey and I thank her for sharing it with me.

My favorite quote is "How you do anything is how you do everything". When I think of that, it motivates me to give 100% effort towards whatever I do, whether it be fitness, diet, work performance, anything!

    I like both of those!
  • My favorite quote comes from my late cousin, he passed away last year shortly after his 18th birthday in a tragic work accident, and his favorite quote on facebook was, "If you don't have time to live your life today, when will you?". This motivated me to get my butt moving and get healthy. I couldn't live my life the way I wanted and wasn't happy being obese. I didn't want to live that way anymore, no one knows how much time they have and I decided to stop taking my time for granted and to something to change my life for the better. I started running and am losing this weight with my cousin Mitchell by my side, inspiring me each day to live my life to it's fullest. I will be running my first half-marathon in May, in his honor.

Life is the constant adaptation to a changing environment. If you lock yourself in an unchanging environment, and never expose yourself to anything that would require you to adapt and evolve.... You are already dead.

You are more than just a number on a scale. You are greater than the sum of your cravings. You are a complex and amazing human being, and no matter what you might think, you are in control of your weight loss.
