Going back to basics

I just recently rejoined MFP after leaving it a couple years ago. Since then I had gained 30 lbs. and went from 200-230. now after rejoining today I weigh in at 186lbs. I do a mixture of zumba/turbofire plus splitting/tossing wood.
Now as the title says...going back to basics. does anyone do the basic situps, pushups, lunges, squats etc. on a daily basis? if so how many do you do and of what? are you getting results from them?

Things that work multiple muscle groups are great, and you hit on a few of those - pushups, lunges, and squats. No need to get any more fancy than that.
As for results... results are more about diet for me than they are exercise. The more dialed in my eating is the more/faster I see results.0
