Here we go!

I haven't been able to do any strength training for 8 months due to a torn rotator cuff. Well, it has healed up (for the most part) so I am going to ease back into strength training with the 30 Day Shred. I will take it slow and steady and force myself to use the lighter weights. And when loud mouthed Jillian says, "Don't phone it in!" I am just going to politely respond to the television, "*kitten* you. I have an injury."

Wish me luck!

Good for you!!! I'm dealing with a torn rotator cuff right now myself and I totally sympathize with you. It sucks!! And it's very painful! Anyway, congrats on your progress and good luck with the healing process. I do have a question though. Did you have surgery to repair the tear or did physical therapy work for you? I'm still doing PT trying to avoid the surgery.

No insurance. So I researched as much as I could and tried healing it on my own. A lot of rest (8 months worth) and minimal exercise with it - light stretching, arm raises (as much as I could muster). I basically just b*tched and moaned for 8 months and I think my shoulder got tired of hearing me yell at it for being so worthless.

I hope you have good results with the physical therapy and I wish you a speedy recovery... because it is not fun.

Mine has been getting progressively worse for a year and it basically froze up. The PT is trying to break the motion free but if it doesn't work they will have to put me out and break it loose, then fix the tear. That will put me down for about 4 to 6 weeks. The PT is really painful but seems to be improving my range of motion, so I'm sticking with it. One side benefit of the therapy is that my back fat has considerably reduced with all of the strength training and stretching!! So there's always an upside! LOL!! So glad you're on the mend and thanks for the info!
