If you want to walk in and shop, they are available from most Target, Walmart, sports equipment, and Kmart stores. Online you can get them from Amazon, Ebay, and through Sears, JC Penny, etc. My advice is to stick to the low end ones because the higher end units have a lot of exotic and wonderful features that take degree in programming to operate. A simple Timex does the trick without a lot of unnecessary stuff you don't need. DO get the calorie counter functions. They are very helpful (motivating) and accurate as well.0

Search Amazon or heart rate monitors USA. I have a real simple Timex one that I use. At some point I might "upgrade" but right now it's working fine for me. When you do get one get the ones that have the chest strap as they a bit more accurate at calculating your HR.0
