My husband & I have been on MFP for just over a month now & love what it & the members have to offer. I am just looking for some MFP friends to join me on my journey to living a healthier lifestyle. Hope to swap receipes, ideas, & tips along with giving support during the good & the bad bumps along the way. :flowerforyou:
I've finished reading Dr. Oz's book, You: On A Diet & can't get over just how easy it is to start living healthy. Even my two young daughter's have gotten on board. I had a good laugh at Easter when my oldest came to me & told me how much sugar was in her Chocolate Easter Bunny. Needless to say, she still hasn't eaten it yet!
I'm in my 7th week of my new lifestyle & have hit a plateau already :grumble: Not sure what is going on but I am staying focused no matter how frustrating it is at times. I told myself that I was going to take baby steps so that I can eventually begin to run. Right now I make sure to take a brisk walk (3.5 mph) for 30 minutes each day, doing the Biggest Loser Program on the wii, recording what I eat (staying within my daily calories), & learning whatever I can to ensure my success.
So if you would like to join me & be a part of my success, please feel free to add me as your friend.
